It’s us- Beth, Damien & Bella. We’re hitting that big, blue watery road in search of adventure, warm water and a more fulfilling way of living. The plan was to sail off with the Baha HaHa at the end of October 2018. But if you have a boat, you already know. Plans change, to do lists get longer, life happens & you gotta go with the flow. So now we’re planning for a departure date of mid November. We’re going to get to explore the Pacific Coast on our own timeline (and the weather’s) before rounding the corner and heading into the Sea of Cortez. Baja has always been special to us and I can’t wait to explore every anchorage and meet every fish. It’s going to be about collecting less stuff and more good times.
For those of you who don’t know, Damien was sick when he was 30. He went through the whole enchilada. Surgery, chemo, radiation. It was horrifying to watch and even worse for him. But he is strong like bull, so he made it. And it made us realize that there is so much more out there. You’ve got to take advantage of things while you can. Take risks and hopefully come out better for it on the other side. So that’s what we’re doing. We’re taking this big, sweet boat that we love so much out for a good time.
It’s really hit me within the last week or so how much we are leaving- our comfortable life, jobs, the house, and most importantly our friends and family. But I hope that you guys will come along for the ride. Whether it’s communicating with us on here, emails, phone calls, texts or coming down to sail with us, I hope you share this adventure with us.
